GRAN TURISMO CONCEPT: TOKYO-GENEVA 2002 TRACK INFORMATION

Holey moley that's a long name for a game page name thing. :o

Here you'll find semi-detailed track information about every single one of GT Concepts six tracks. 'Cept one of them can only be used with one type of car only.

"WHAT'S GOIN' ON!?!?!" i hear you ask. Sit down, and i shall explain. Don't sit on the cat! Poor kitty, is it alright? Good. Right. Listen up. I mean the cat, not you.

The Toyota POD track, numero six(o) track, doesn't have any available information on it (it has a LOT of unavailable information though, probably all of it). It is basically just the main straight and pit lane of Special Stage Route 5, with a huge hill/mound in the middle of the track and chicanes all over the place.

It was specially built for the Toyota/Sony POD Concept car. The exact same one i drive to work every single day. :)

Oh wait, actually i drive just a Space Shuttle. :(

TOYOTA POD TRACK
AUTUMN RING
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,036m
- Noticeable Objects The lake
- Time Of Day Middy and Cloudy
- Moving Things Flags
- Good Things Leaves fly up behind you whenever you drive over them (on the sides of the tracks), crowds look realistic, awesome track layout
- Bad Things Autumn Ring Mini is not available, it's not Winter so there's no snow.

MIDFIELD RACEWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,597m
- Noticeable Objects The track cross-over bridge (from below)
- Time Of Day Midday and Cloudy
- Moving Things Flags
- Good Things Very, very realistic looking replays, looks way better than it did in GT3, great fun to drive round - not so great walking around as you can't get as much g-forces.
- Bad Things Noticeable frame rate drop at the first tunnel in the replay, crowd details are a little bland, haven't extended the sand trap at the first turn (would be dangerous in real-life - probably full of crabs and shipwrecks).

SWISS ALPS
- Surface Dirt
- Total Length 3,290m
- Noticeable Objects The trees!!
- Time Of Day Afternoon and Cloudy
- Moving Things Flags
- Good Things Trees are very detailed, some great corners to powerslide round, realistic looking replays, the Ssiws (Swiss backwards)
- Bad Things Some jumps are a little too big? (takes about four minutes on average to land after the jump), can't think of any other bad things!

TAHITI MAZE
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,555m
- Noticeable Objects The blue ocean
- Time Of Day Midday and Cloudy
- Moving Things Flags and Banners
- Good Things Track detail, water/ocean views, track layout, hard to get lost in the maze.
- Bad Things Nothing! Apart from there being no bad things!

TOKYO R246
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 5,120m
- Noticeable Objects The Motorways (which you drive under)
- Time Of Day Midday and Very Cloudy
- Moving Things Flags, Moving arrows on the turn signs
- Good Things Detail on the buildings (whoa!!), lots better than it was in GT3, the main straight!
- Bad Things No run-off area at the first corner, still. (extremely dangerous in real-life, and this game is real), road surface not bumpy enough (unless the Japanese really know how to make roads), trees don't drop leaves onto the track (bit selfish of them if you ask me)

TOYOTA POD TRACK
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length -unknown-
- Noticeable Objects The rather big artificial hills on the normally flat main straight of SSR5.
- Time Of Day Night
- Moving Things Flags, Moving arrows on the turn signs, changing electronic billboards
- Good Things Weird and quirky little track.
- Bad Things Only the Toyota Pod cars can race around it! :(
