Here are some settings
for some cars that i have
somewhat tuned up in some
'ol game called GT3. Some...
uh, i mean each
car has been tuned for
a specific thing; either
the 1/4 mile (400m) or
racing (racing), because
that's all that mattered
all those years ago when
i was playing this game
non-stop.
Please bear in mind i'm not the best at tuning
cars, so if they explode in a massive fireball
then... well, that would be quite an accomplishment
by you and i'd really like to see a video!

you turn try not to accelerate too much while
turning. And remember to turn too, that helps. |

First gear and hitting rev limiter for super slick
tyre's or first gear and low revs for other
tyre's (maybe even a second gear start would

Cornering |
When
driving/racing this car around a little you
can sort of 'feel' the tire traction limit
so if you do then just back off a little.
If the tire traction limit is reached then
the car will go into a wild powerslide which,
in some cases, is quite easy to control. Race
it round a bit so you get what i mean. |
- Taking off |
Second gear take-offs are the way to go and do so
gently if you are using tyre's which have
plenty of grooves in them. Otherwise the Police
will trace you from the marks you leave on
the road. |

This
car handles like a dream on most tracks and
its about as good as a stock Honda S2000 (which
is very, very good at racing). Practically
no understeer but if there is try let off
the accelerator which might help cornering
a bit. |
- Taking off |
First gear is always your best bet at a quick takeoff
just let the needle bounce off the rev limiter.
If using a manual car, then change gears just
before it hits redline. |

Second gear take off's while redlining gently should
get you a good time but you have to be very
patient as the acceleration must be as fast
as possible without causing too much wheelspin.
It's harder that it sounds trust me. |

are allowed to go, then while the wheels are
spinning in second gear (high revs) change
to third and you'll get a better time if you
start changing in the redline from there on. |

Do a second gear take-off and gently hit the limiter
just before you can go. You should get wheelspin
at the higher revs in second gear but not
too much and not too little. Then just continue
changing up in the redline before the limiter. |

First
off, these settings should not be changed
at all if you are going to do the pro Vitz/Yaris
championship. The settings shown above will
suit all/most tracks, and definitely the Test
Course. Try not to accelerate while turning,
and i advise you to pit on the second lap
every race (if not in the lead), as this will
give you clear track and by the time the AI
cars pit you should fly past them. But this
is all depending on your driving/tuning ability. |
- Taking off |
Second gear prevents too much wheelspin but you still
have to take off gently. |
