GRAN TURISMO 2 TRACK INFORMATION
It's just the basic track information on this page; length of the main straight, total track length and surface type and a wee blurb about the track by me. If i can't quite remember what the track is like, then i make stuff up about it, in all seriousness. Therefore, its up to your imagination to how it looks. Unless you've played the game before.

PLZ read them, mmmkay? Tooked me hours and years to rite it all. Thene mi speling gt heeps worser.

APRICOT HILL RACEWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,864m
- Main Straight Length 786m
- My Blurb New to Gran Turismo, its actually a really nice track with lots of dips and rises. No apricots though.

TOP OF PAGE

AUTUMN RING
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 2,950m
- Main Straight Length 425m
- My Blurb Ye olde Autumn Ring returns from debuting in Gran Turismo 1. Still a nice track, and still Autumn.

TOP OF PAGE

AUTUMN RING MINI
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 1,255m
- Main Straight Length 250m
- My Blurb Returns from GT1 again. Its still mini sized, hence why it has the same name.

TOP OF PAGE

DEEP FOREST RACEWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,580m
- Main Straight Length 779m
- My Blurb Returns from Gran Turismo 1. Probably one of the best versions in the first two games as the tree cover is quite extensive compared to later versions of the track. The forest has never been deeper than it is in GT1 and GT2. :(

TOP OF PAGE

GRAND VALLEY SPEEDWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 4,960m
- Main Straight Length 820m
- My Blurb Returning from the first game. One of the best tracks in the first few GT's.

TOP OF PAGE

GRAND VALLEY EAST SECTION
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,025m
- Main Straight Length 820m
- My Blurb Depending on what way you look at the map, or where your monitor is located, this may not infact be east at all.

TOP OF PAGE

GREEN FOREST ROADWAY
- Surface Dirt
- Total Length 3,698m
- Main Straight Length 223m
- My Blurb One of my favourite dirt tracks. New to GT2 and unfortunately its never been in a GT game since. Shame. That forest was quite green too.

TOP OF PAGE

GRINDELWALD
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,462m
- Main Straight Length 479m
- My Blurb Everyone's favourite makes its one and only appearance in GT. Great alpineyish track with some nice cambered corners. Bring it back PD!

TOP OF PAGE

HIGH-SPEED RING
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,100m
- Main Straight Length 752m
- My Blurb H-SR (<< see how i shortened the name there? Mad skillz) returns from the first game. I actually like the version in the first two GT's more than the later versions. Not that the newer ones are bad, but the GT1&2 version is smaller and faster feeling. 900m shorter than the GT4 version because they didn't have the budget to make it too much longer.

TOP OF PAGE

LAGUNA SECA RACEWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,602m
- Main Straight Length 265m
- My Blurb Laguna Seca makes its debut in Gran Turismo. People fall in love with the corkscrew. Or fall over things in a rage when they spin out there yet again.

TOP OF PAGE

MIDFIELD RACEWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,550m
- Main Straight Length 927m
- My Blurb Midfield arrives on the scene. Has a nice section where you cross over the main straight via an overbridge. The bridge was constructed after too many complaints from race teams that their cars keep getting written off from cars crossing the track at the loop point. Traffic lights were briefly considered.

TOP OF PAGE

MOTORSPORTS LAND
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 888m
- Main Straight Length 135m
- My Blurb BEST TRACK IN GT!! Really tiny little track, pretty much for go karts. But a lot of fun in cars!

TOP OF PAGE

PIKES PEAK HILL CLIMB
- Surface Dirt
- Total Length 4,181m
- Main Straight Length 260m
- My Blurb The one and only time its appeared in GT. Unfortunately the real life version is entirely sealed now, so play it on GT2 to remember what a dirt hillclimb is actually like.

TOP OF PAGE

RED ROCK VALLEY SPEEDWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 4,100m
- Main Straight Length 991m
- My Blurb Awesome track, and one GT fans commonly ask Polyphony to bring back (its only in GT2). Was set in sort of a sunset/rise which gave it a nice atmosphere, and was a very fast/flowing track. Sorely missed. Ow. (see?)

TOP OF PAGE

ROME CIRCUIT
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 4,000m
- Main Straight Length 508m
- My Blurb The original Rome Circuit. My personal preference to the new layout which features in Gran Turismo 5. In fact, in GT5 it only uses one section of road from this version, then spreads out in the opposite direction! Its like it had a tiff (Needel) with this version of the track, so turned its back.

TOP OF PAGE

ROME SHORT COURSE
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 2,443m
- Main Straight Length 508m
- My Blurb Great wee course, the shortened section just by the colloseum is a common accident spot for AI and human players alike.

TOP OF PAGE

ROME-NIGHT
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 4,271m
- Main Straight Length 516m
- My Blurb Yet another GT2 only track - and again its one that should be bought back to life! Unlike the day version above, this version has rises and dips and doesn't use any of the daylight versions streets. Not a bad course really.

TOP OF PAGE

SEATTLE CIRCUIT
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,779m
- Main Straight Length 685m
- My Blurb Probably not the most ideal location for a real race, as on the climb up the hill most cars will get a decent amount of air, multiple times within about 10-20 seconds. A lot of stomachs got upset. But was a fun track to race on regardless.

TOP OF PAGE

SEATTLE SHORT COURSE
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 2,179m
- Main Straight Length 685m
- My Blurb I really like the short version of this track, it avoids all the jumps in the long version and generally seems more realistic. Not seen in another GT game after this sadly. Possibly because the sadists found it boring with no jumps (thus less crashes after the cars land the wrong way).

TOP OF PAGE

SMOKEY MOUNTAIN NORTH
- Surface Dirt
- Total Length 3,580m
- Main Straight Length 289m
- My Blurb Can't really remember much about GT2's version of this track, so i'll make it up. Pretty much it was a useless track for racing on, as there was always so much smoke up north in those mountains that you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you (you could see 11 actually, one person had an third foot). Not even recommended for the smokers among you.

TOP OF PAGE

SMOKEY MOUNTAIN SOUTH
- Surface Dirt
- Total Length 3,260m
- Main Straight Length 223m
- My Blurb Not as much smoke on this version, but there were some trees. Hasn't appeared in a GT game since, because the developers are mean.

TOP OF PAGE

SPECIAL STAGE ROUTE 5
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,776m
- Main Straight Length 1,001m
- My Blurb SSR5 returns from GT1 (incase you were wondering). Quite dark in the first two games, so make sure those headlights are on as the walls aren't your friend. Unless you wall ride. You cheater.

TOP OF PAGE

CLUBMAN STAGE ROUTE 5
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 2,466m
- Main Straight Length 684m
- My Blurb Scene of many a race. Because its a racetrack, funny that. I'm not terribly fussed on the short version unless i'm racing slow cars.

TOP OF PAGE

SUPER SPEEDWAY
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 2,406m
- Main Straight Length 600m
- My Blurb Round and round you go until you get dizzy. Then simply pull into the pits for a while, gawk at the huge crowd and grandstands, then head back out on the track again for more dizziness exposure. Could probably get away with locking the diff.

TOP OF PAGE

TAHITI DIRT ROAD
- Surface Tarmac/Dirt
- Total Length 3,682m
- Main Straight Length 263m
- My Blurb Another one of my favourite dirt tracks, sadly only in GT2 (i see a trend). Nice wee (big) chicane on the main straight to navigate through, then a long sweeping gravel corner to drift around. Or at least attempt to. I hope i'm remembering the right track here, i should probably start the game up and check.

TOP OF PAGE

TAHITI MAZE
- Surface Tarmac/Dirt
- Total Length 3,600m
- Main Straight Length 252m
- My Blurb A decent length twisting track that runs to the top of a hill, down the other side, up again, then back down to the startline. Great track for rally racing and has proved popular enough by fans (i'm just guessing that really).

TOP OF PAGE

TAHITI ROAD
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,347m
- Main Straight Length 423m
- My Blurb The only fully sealed Tahiti track in GT (hence the name), and actually quite fun. Would look amazing with current technology. *hint hint* PD.

TOP OF PAGE

TRIAL MOUNTAIN CIRCUIT
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 3,979m
- Main Straight Length 401m
- My Blurb Trial Mountain appears in GT again, and pretty much never leaves. Very trialling, not so much mountainy. Maybe hilly at best. Well used track.

TOP OF PAGE

TEST COURSE
- Surface Tarmac
- Total Length 5,242m
- Main Straight Length 1,422m
- My Blurb My favourite version of the Test Track in GT. Its a lot shorter than the GT3 and subsequent (ooh, i used a big word!) versions and narrower, but that makes it actually more ideal for proper races than the longer and wider versions. This one has lots of trees too. *hugs a tree*
